Showcase Concerts - Baroque Chamber Music

Several years ago we instituted our new series of "Showcase Concerts", separate from our regular season concerts, for several reasons: while the season concerts are made up of large-scale choral/orchestral works, most of the music of the 17th & 18th centuries is small-scale, solos, duos, trios, arias with continuo and one or two obbligato instruments. The Showcase Concerts allow us to devise programs of these smaller, but often exquisite, works in smaller venues and at a lower ticket price. These concerts also give our players the opportunity to expore a wider range of repertoire.
